It's not too late to do the summer reading program! You're probably reading stacks of manga because anime is so behind right? If you sign up and read three hours before August 20, 2008 and show up that day, you can win prizes! I've got backpacks with school supplies, a MYSTERY PRIZE, and other stuff. Yes, I said MYSTERY PRIZE. It's a neat one too. You can either forget I said anything about a MYSTERY PRIZE, neglect to care about the MYSTERY PRIZE, show up for the raffle day without a chance of winning the MYSTERY PRIZE, or you can log in three hours of reading and have the chance to score the MYSTERY PRIZE. Have I plugged this enough yet? So sign up for the reading program and show up on August 20, 2008 at 4pm to participate in raffle day. Even if you don't win one of the raffle prizes, you get a book, a certificate of participation, a spin at the prize wheel, and CAKE! FREE CAKE! That's what it takes to get you in right? If more than a few anime club members join the reading program and read the three hours, I'll let Juan Carlos raffle off some stuff that we got from Anime Expo. I know we have a giant wall scroll of Fullmetal Alchemist that needs a home! When you regular anime members join the reading program, let Juan Carlos know.
AUGUST 23, 2008 at 3pm! If you saw Buster Balloon and liked him, you'll like Annie Banannie too! She's a balloon twister too and she's promising confetti! We're closing out the summer program with her show. Raffle Day will be pretty awesome, but Annie is even better! You don't have to be a part of the summer reading program: just show up. She's really cool. It's confetti! It can't possibly be lame if there's confetti involved!
Okay, last note. Juan Carlos and I wanted to do a quick test to see if any anime club members are actually reading this blog or hitting it up through the MySpace widget. First one to email LibrarianChan@gmail.com before 12:00am on August 16, 2008 will get a $5 gift card to Starbucks. You must have attended at least one anime club meeting to claim your prize. So hello? Is anyone out there?
